flower painting

I forgot to post this...

The Mispillion Art Gallery had a fundraiser. Each artist was asked to paint these 6" x 6" canvases and donate them to an auction that took place last week.

Mine were done in acrylics and done spontaneously. Acrylics are stonger in color because you don't mix them with a lot of water. They also dry darker, whereas in watercolor they dry lighter.

There were two pretty shamrock type of plants at the Gallery. Bored while I was sitting, I got a canvas, and some acrylics in the three prime colors. I squeezed a blob of each on the canvas and then went to it.

The yellow flower was done at home in a similar manner. It's lots of fun to just let loose and go where it leads you!

The auction was a huge success raising $3,600 for the Gallery to be used for future operational expenses.
